· RMCC Membership - Membership in the Rocky Mountain Cycling Club is required, for insurance reasons. | |
· Sign-In/Inspection/Departure - All riders depart together at the prescribed departure time. Be ready to sign in and have your bicycle inspected at least one half hour before departure. | |
· Pre-Registration - Pre-registration allows us to staff and supply the ride appropriately. If the ride must be cancelled or rescheduled, registered riders can be informed. Pre-registrants may also receive materials such as route maps in advance. | |
· Qualifying - If a brevet requires pre-qualification, the event director will contact you after you register. | |
· Rules - Please read the brevet rules carefully before coming to the ride. Bonne route! |

6 May 2001 (Sun.) Depart: 9:00 am I-25 Exit 243 (Co.66) |
Mead - Rawhide - Horsetooth- A variant of last year’s Horsetooth loop, but starting at I-25 Exit 243 (Co. 66) and proceeding farther north via the Rawhide powerplant (Buckeye Road) through the antelope-spotted landscape near Wyoming, finishing off with some strong climbs over Horsetooth Reservoir! This is also an RMCC Challenge Series 2001 ride. |

Littleton - Castle Rock - Black Forest – Chatfield - Visits Castle Rock, Black Forest, and the Palmer Divide. 9100 ft. of climbing overall, mainly rolling. Same as last two years’ routes, but a slightly later starting time. Lights required. This is also an RMCC Challenge Series 2001 ride. |

Superior - Platteville - Lefthand Canyon - St. Vrain Canyon - Horsetooth – Wellington - Climbs Lefthand Canyon (4500 ft. of climbing to 9250 ft.), descends St. Vrain Canyon, then climbs Carter Lake and south Horsetooth Reservoir. 14,000 ft. climbing. Similar to last two years’ routes. Lights required. Pre-registration required by June 2. This is also an RMCC Challenge Series 2001 ride. |

Superior - Brighton - St. Vrain Canyon - Estes Park - Big Thompson Canyon - Horsetooth - Wellington – Evans - Climbs St. Vrain Canyon (4300 ft. of climbing to 9200 ft.), descending past Estes Park through Big Thompson Canyon, over south Horsetooth Reservoir and out onto the Plains through Wellington and Windsor. 18,000 ft. of climbing. Similar to the last 2 years’ routes. Lights required. Pre-registration required by June 15. This is also an RMCC Challenge Series 2001 ride. |

Superior - Brighton - St. Vrain Canyon - Estes Park - Big Thompson Canyon - Horsetooth - Wellington - Ft. Morgan - Estes Park - The first 500km follows the 600km route (and starts with them), followed by an excursion down the South Platte to Ft. Morgan, skirting the Pawnee Grasslands, and a final climb up Big Thompson Canyon. Optional Bag Drop. Lights required. Pre-registration required by June 15.
