events such as Paris-Brest-Paris and Boston-Montreal-Boston – from those who
have done it. Beyond the science of
good training, nutrition, and equipment – and no less important – are
determination and adaptability.

– Progressed in three seasons of riding brevets from the shorter events in

Barday –
BMB and PBP finisher – the epitome of the determined randonneur who has
overcome adversity under rough conditions to reach the finish line.

Went from riding his first brevets on a mountain bike in 1994 to being first
American to finish PBP in 2003.
