Next RMCC Board Meeting - Monday, February 12 — The monthly RMCC Board meeting will start at 7:00pm at Panera Bread on Wadsworth at 80th. Any member is welcome to attend.

Cyclist Bone Density Study - Volunteers Sought — The IMAGE research group at the University of Colorado Denver – Anschutz Medical Campus. We are conducting a clinical research study exploring the effects of high intensity exercise on bone density in young male cyclists (18-45 years old) and we are currently looking for volunteers to participate in this research study. Hwy. 7 Construction Project — The Hwy. 7 construction project (Peak-to-Peak Highway from Hwy. 72 to Lily Lake) started on July 5. Phase I is slated to last into November. This is partially a post-2013-flood remediation project. Cycling on that segment may be troublesome during that period. See the link for details.

RMCCer Walter Zitz Wins TransIowa Gravel! — Congratulations to RMCCer, Walter Zitz, who was the co-winner of this year's TransIowa V12, a 300+ mile unsupported gravel road race across Iowa! Walter finished in a time of 24:01. Great ride, Walter!

AntiEpic Gravel Grinder a Success! — Great weather and a good turnout made for a fine day on the dirt. Read Mark Lowe's account on the Colorado Triple Crown blog!

RMCC Hall of Fame! — You can now view the RMCC Hall of Fame for 1994 through 2006. There's also a new link under "About Us" on the homepage. The Hall of Fame lists the volunteers - board members, ride committee, and others - without whom the club would not be possible. Thanks to John Klever for compiling these during those years!

Lloyd Succeeds Charlie as RMCC President — After 20 years as RMCC president, Charlie Henderson is stepping down and handing over the reigns to Lloyd Jones, who was confirmed unanimously by the board. A huge vote of appreciation to Charlie, who has worked tirelessly to nurture the club and its programs. And thanks to Lloyd for stepping up to this important role!

Spring Contrail 2016 - New Route! — 4/23-4/30 6 riding days. Show Low to Globe 87 miles, Globe to Casas Adobes (north Tucson) via AZ 77 94 miles, Mt Lemon out and back 82 miles, Back to Globe via AZ 77 94 miles, Out and back to the Roosevelt Dam, Tonto National Monument and Forest 45 miles. Globe to Show Low (Salt River Canyon ) 87 miles. 2 nights in Casas Adobes and 3 nights in Globe (2 consecutive). Contact Charlie Henderson.

Brevets & Challenge Series - While some brevets and Challenge Series events will be co-listed on Meetup, the full Colorado Brevets and Challenge Series schedules and registration will remain as before.

Two Dozen Super Randonneurs! — With the spring brevets now behind us, 24 who rode them are now Super Randonneurs (by riding a 200k, 300k, 400k, and 600k brevet in one season). This is a big accomplishment and the height of many randonneurs' seasons, much as the Colorado Triple Crown award for those riders. Congratulations to these riders!
