Welcome! The RMCC is a premier road bicycling club for Colorado and the Denver/Boulder Front Range, offering a full range of rides for active, enthusiastic cyclists of intermediate and advanced levels and interests. Sign up for our e-mail list.
- During December and January we have our "show-and-go" rides from Northglenn. These rides will be on Saturday, starting at 10:45. However, if the weather is poor on Saturday but nice on Sunday, we will switch the ride to Sunday (it's much more fun to ride when it's 45 than 25!)--be sure to watch the website for any updates on each week's ride. Special thanks once again to Dan Shields for leading these rides again this year!
- On January 1st is our annual New Year's Century ride! This ride starts from from Northglenn at 8:00 and does a large loop through Weld County, Lyons, and Boulder. A shorter metric century option is also available! A great way to start out the year. If weather requires it, this ride will be rescheduled from the first
A Winter of Cyclists Film
RMCC member Mike Prendergast will have a showing of the film A Winter of Cyclists at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder on Dec 8th at 2pm. Mike made the film after riding and filming winter bicycle commuters in Colorado last year. The film follows cyclists as they attempt to bicycle commute during the cold, dark and snowy Colorado winter. Click here for event info and tickets. Movie Trailer. Please come out and watch this film and also see bicycle themed artwork on display at the Dairy Center during Bike Art Month.
The 2014 Spring Contrail will run from April 19th through the 26th. This annual ride takes in the varied terrain and scenery of southeast Arizona. This year's route starts and ends in Show Low and loops through Globe, Safford (+Mt Graham), Morenci, and Alpine. This is a great tour (many people have done it multiple times) that usually fills up fast. For more information or to register, contact Charlie Henderson.
The 2014 Schedule is taking shape! The schedule of weekend rides through April is available here. The brevets are listed here and Challenge Series events are listed
More details for all of these rides will of course be forthcoming. For the regular weekend rides, the rest of the schedule will be filled in early next year once we better know which roads up north will/won't be suitable for riding. And, we have a couple of other exciting ideas in the works, so stay tuned!
